The 11th event of MediaMatters turned out to be one of the most successful. During the Matchmaking Day in Hilversum 34 matches were made between 15 startups and 17 media companies.
The event was hosted by the city of Hilversum in their iconic city hall. Alderman Wimar Jaeger said in his opening speech that the goal should be at least 6 matches. That goal was easily surpassed. It was already reached after the first round of matchmaking talks.
In total 15 startups and scale-ups from 11 countries presented their solution to a wide representation of Dutch and Belgian media companies: public and commercial broadcasters, production companies and publishers.
This event wouldn't have been possible without our partners Next Media Accelerator in Hamburg and Startupbootcamp Media in Amsterdam. Three alumni of NMA (Attention Insight, Coverstories and Indieframe) were on stage in Hilversum. And also two startups of the first cohort of Startupbootcamp Media (Streamix and YourTalk.fm) participated.
